Classic Wines Auction
March 2013
YWCA Clark County partners with the Classic Wines Auction (CWA) to present a fantastic fundraising event that includes a gala auction, winemaker dinners, and Ambassador’s Dinner. Funds raised from these events support the work of non-profit organizations such as Metropolitan Family Service, New Avenues for Youth, Friends of the Children – Portland, Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel and YWCA Clark County.
Classic Wines Auction started when a small group of friends raising funds for Portland Metropolitan Family Service formed a non-profit entity in 2004 after experiencing an overwhelmingly positive response from Wine Spectator magazine and the community. According to a 2010 article in Wine Spectator magazine, CWA is one of the top ten charity wine auctions in the United States. The auction continues to gain support, and consistently raises more than $2.2 million annually.
