Advocacy, education, and leadership are integral components of the YWCA's work. We provide opportunities for women and girls to help themselves grow personally and professionally through leadership positions, education, and community recognition. LeadershipWomen and girls from the community can enhance their leadership skills by formulating and implementing YWCA policy on the Board of Directors and other essential committees. Community RecognitionWomen and young women are recognized for leadership and outstanding community service through the Women of Achievement Awards and the Young Women of Achievement Awards. The Val Joshua Award recognizes individuals and organizations for furthering the YWCA mission.
