![]() renata rhodesRenata Rhodes moved to the United States from the former Soviet Union with her family in 1991, first to Los Angeles and then to the Pacific Northwest. She started attending Fort Vancouver High School at age 13, eventually testing out of an ESL class during the first semester and joining the mainstream student population. Through her involvement with REPS (racial equality panel of students), she learned about issues affecting diverse populations. She remains active in events that relate to these issues and has presented at numerous diversity conferences, both locally and nationally. She received a degree in public affairs from WSU-Vancouver and went on to obtain a master’s degree in public affairs with a concentration on public policy.
