Susan LaLone

Susan and her wife Elizabeth moved to Clark County after retiring from careers with the National Park Service. Over the course of Susan's career, she worked in eight national parks as a park ranger, earning two Department of Interior Valor Awards. A former Marine, Susan served in Vietnam. She currently volunteers for the American Red Cross and the Pearson Air Museum. She also is a part of the Sexual Minorities Leadership Roundtable in Vancouver. She chairs the YWCA’s Hate Incident and Hate Crimes work group and is a member of the Public Policy Committee.

As a transgendered individual, Susan is a board member of the Northwest Gender Alliance, and has participated for the past four years in planning an annual weeklong conference in Port Angeles, WA.
