Empowering women

Women's empowerment is a part of all our programs. We work to empower women to make their own choices in life, whether they have been a victim of domestic violence or sexual assault, have been incarcerated or have found themselves homeless.

Also, Women's Economic Advancement is one of YWCA USA's Hallmark Initiatives. Our board and public policy committee is working to advocate for public policy on this issue.

Our Mission: To build a community of peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all people. The YWCA focuses on empowering women, preventing violence and eliminating oppression.
What We Do: Over 10,000 people served each year, including victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse; youth aging out of foster care; homeless preschool children; and women in jail.
