History
Since its inception in 1916, YWCA Clark County has been dedicated to empowering women, children, and families. It has also been dedicated to recognizing the efforts of young women who join with the YWCA in its mission to build a community of peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all people.
In 1985, the YWCA created an awards program that recognized young women for their volunteer community service and leadership. Since then, the YWCA has honored close to 200 young women from Clark County high schools for their efforts to build a stronger, healthier, and more vibrant community.
