SafeChoice Housing

Safe, stable housing solutions for survivors of violence and those at risk of homelessness.

SafeChoice offers a range of housing programs designed to support survivors of domestic violence and their families in finding and maintaining safe, stable housing. Whether someone is at risk of eviction, currently homeless, or working toward long-term independence, our programs provide short- to mid-term financial assistance, advocacy, and wraparound support. Through services like rental assistance, housing searches, transitional housing, and ongoing emotional and legal support, we help survivors overcome barriers and build a pathway to permanent, safe, affordable housing.

Overview

Housing Programs

  • Eviction Prevention and Rental Assistance Program (EPRAP)

EPRAP is designed to provide eviction prevention support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and/or stalking- who are at risk of homelessness, in order to maintain stable housing and avoid homelessness. EPRAP is designed to provide support for participants to regain independence and stability and is not an ongoing rental assistance program

  • Rapid Re-Housing Program

The Rapid Re-Housing Program is designed to support survivors and families who are homeless due to domestic violence and/or fleeing their homes due to domestic violence. This program provides safe housing, financial assistance, and advocacy to help participants secure safe stable housing and work towards independence. Services include help with housing searches, addressing financial or rental barriers, and support with deposits and rental assistance

  • Transitional Housing Program

The Transitional Housing Program is designed to provide survivors of domestic violence and their families with short- to mid-term housing and supportive services. The program focuses on building long-term stability by helping participants increase income, set and reach personal goals, and move into permanent, affordable housing.

  • Independent Youth Housing Program

The Independent Youth Housing Program provides rental assistance, related housing costs, and case management to young adults, ages 18-24, who have been in foster care.

All program participants in housing still have access to the Safechoice services provided at the community office during and after their time in the program.
