How peer-to-peer

works at YWCA

This summer, six people in our community are stepping up to raise critical funds for YWCA Clark County. They’re hosting events, sharing their stories, and asking the people in their lives to give.

Each champion has their own page, their own goal, and their own reason for showing up. They're going head to head for the title of top fundraiser by July 31, and every dollar raised goes directly to life-changing services that strengthen individuals, youth, and families in our community.

Together, these Community Champions are helping create pathways to safety, stability, healing, and opportunity for those who need it most. Choose a champion, make a gift, and join us in building a community where everyone has the chance to thrive.

Why this work, why now?

YWCA Clark County shows up for our community in a lot of ways. Our advocates answer the call, day or night, for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Our shelter and housing programs give people a safe place to land. Our preschool, youth, prevention, and equity work builds something steadier for the long haul.

Last year our crisis teams responded to more than 10,000 calls, and the need keeps growing. When someone reaches out, our advocates answer. We walk through options without pressure and without taking decisions out of anyone's hands, and we stay in it through the weeks and months that follow.

This work is facing real funding pressure at the federal, state, and local level. Our Peer-to-Peer Summer Competition is one of the ways we keep our doors open, our phones answered, and our programs strong for everyone who counts on us.
