Six champions. One summer. A whole community standing with survivors.

From June 1 to July 31, seven of your neighbors, friends, and coworkers are raising funds for YWCA Clark County’s Sexual Assault Program. Pick someone to cheer on. Make a gift. Share their page. That’s how this works!

How peer-to-peer

works at YWCA

This summer, six people in our community are stepping up to raise critical funds for YWCA Clark County’s Sexual Assault Program. They’re hosting events, sharing their stories, and asking the people in their lives to give.

Each champion has their own page, their own goal, and their own reason for showing up. They’re going head to head for the title of top fundraiser by July 31, and every dollar raised goes directly to the team that answers when a survivor calls.

Why this work, why now?

YWCA Clark County is the only 24/7 hospital response team for survivors of sexual assault in our region. Last year, our team responded to more than 10,000 sexual assault and domestic violence calls, and that number isn’t slowing down.

When a survivor reaches out, our advocates are there. We meet people at the hospital. We sit with them through medical exams. We walk through options without pressure and without taking decisions out of their hands. The support keeps going in the weeks and months that follow with counseling, legal advocacy, support groups, and safety planning.

This work is facing real funding pressure at the federal, state, and local level. Our Peer-to-Peer Summer Competition is one of the ways we’re keeping our doors open and our phones answered, around the clock, for every survivor who needs us.
